Archers Come In Strong Against Dayspring

The Lady Archers delivered a strong all-around performance on Thursday night, sweeping Dayspring Bible College in straight sets (25–14, 25–16, 25–11) inside the Archers' home gym. The victory improves Moody to 8–10 on the season as the team continues to build momentum heading into the final stretch of the year.

After dropping the first two points of the opening set, Moody settled in quickly behind the serving of Grace Vahey, who sparked a 9–0 run with a pair of aces. Kiarra Henkel and Olivia Reid anchored the front row, combining for several key kills and blocks as the Archers rolled to a 25–14 win. Briseis Zequeida provided a strong start for the team as she replaced the injured Emerson DeVries

In the second set, Dayspring jumped out to a brief lead before Moody regained control thanks to steady play from setter Olivia Clem and star libero Elina Smith, who added two aces during a decisive mid-set run. Henkel and Reid continued to find success at the net, helping the Archers close the frame 25–16.

Moody saved its best for the third set, racing out to a commanding 9–2 advantage and never looking back. The Archers hit their stride offensively with a match-best .267 attack percentage, highlighted by Henkel's efficient swings and Ellie George's energy behind the service line. The Archers finished the match on a 10–2 run to seal the 25–11 victory.

The Archers play their final game of the regular season on Tuesday, November 4th at 7pm at home against Beloit College. The game will acknowledge multiple graduating seniors on the team and be another great stepping-stone before the NCCAA Midwest Regionals the following week.
