Lady Archers Lose to Great Lakes in Close 5-Set Match

The Lady Archers traveled to Lansing, MI, on Saturday, October 25th, to face Great Lakes Christian College in an exciting 5-set match that ended in a tough loss.

The Crusaders edged the Archers out over the first two sets, winning both 25-21. The Lady Archers fought to come back, dominating the third set in 25-11, claiming the 4th set win 25-20, and bringing on the 5th set. Despite a brave fight by the Archers, the Crusaders won the final set 15-10, securing the victory.

Coach Breslen Boldt saw the match as a great opportunity for progressing and growing as a team, recalling the Archer's efforts with the following words: "With new coaches and players that joined halfway through the season, the team and the coaches are still learning to work together and develop as a team. They are gritty and will fight to win. They climbed back from being down 0-2 and forced the match to go to that 5th set. We've lost two close matches because we are still needing to get into our groove as a team. This was a great learning opportunity for the team to work on trusting each other for the next couple of weeks before Regionals."

The Archers' next match will be against Dayspring Bible College on Thursday, October 30th, at 7 pm CST, taking place at their home court.
