The Lady Archers came up on top after an exciting 5 sets of intense volleyball against Maranatha Baptist University.  

 

The first set was the foundation of this nail-biting game, with Moody looking like the better team until Maranatha responded with significant quick attacks that Moody did not have an answer to. Moody dominated the second set with Liv Clem, Kiarra Henkel, and Elina Smith showing off their powerful serves. Maranatha came back strong in the 3rd set, as Layla Damotte and Kindra Smith of the Sabercats responded with kills of their own to take the win. Nonetheless, Moody's Olivia Reid stole the show in the 4th set with a series of dead blocks and kills that paved the way for Moody's triumph for the rest of the game.

 

Notable Performances: Kiarra Henkel's 13 Kills and 14 Digs. Elina Smith's 11 Digs. Olivia Reid's 8 Kills. Grace Vahey's 6 Kills.

 

The Lady Archers travel to Grace Christian University this Saturday, October 4, for a Tri-Match against Grace Christian at 1 pm (EDT), and Kuyper College at 3 pm (EDT).
