The WXC team raced in their first XC meet of the season at the Lewis Earlybird Invitational hosted by Lewis University in Romeoville, IL. The Lady Archers placed 6th out of 7 teams, with the University of Chicago dominating with 19 points, Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) placing 2nd with 56 points, and Carthage taking 3rd (100 points).
Senior Alyeska Linsley ran a gutsy race, pushing through illness, and covered the 4k distance in 17:11. Kassidy Kleinheksel was next (18:06), followed by Cora Muller (18:47), Sage Weaver (19:04), Felicity Severs (19:17), Emma Carl (19:31), Samantha Duehring (20:25), Adele Dutton and Natalie Lange (20:36), Allison Duehring (21:22), Ansley Sovine (21:35), Kylee Clark (21:59), Sophie Simpson (22:04), and Lydia Sinchok (24:34).

The Archers will compete next Saturday (September 13th) at 11 am at the Ken Weidt Classic hosted by Concordia University of WI. The ladies' 6k race will take place on the campus of Concordia U.
