Archers Lose to Crusaders

Saturday afternoon, the Archers traveled to Lansing, MI, to play against Great Lakes Christian College. The Archers got off to a rough start with the Crusaders leading by eighteen points after the first half, and struggled to regain their ground, but managed to hold a steady fight, with a final score of 103-72.

Thomas Wright led the way for the Archers, scoring twenty points, grabbing seven rebounds, and giving four assists. Sherman Etienne made nineteen points, snatched fifteen rebounds, and provided three assists.

Coach Chapin stated: "The guys continue to show improvement, especially against the best team in the conference and possibly the league. But we need to find one more level to play at to beat a team like Great Lakes.  If we can find that next level, we have a team that can win regionals."

This Thursday, February 26th, the Archers will play against Kuyper College in the opening round of the NCCAA DII Midwest Regional Quarterfinals, hosted by Emmaus University in Dubuque, IA. The game will take place at 4pm CST.
