The Moody Bible Institue Archers hosted tonight's game against the West-East University Phantoms. The Archers started off aggressive both offensively and defensively under the net with Trey Haidle and Josh Wedeven fighting the Phantoms for the ball. Moody's seniors, Tanner, Kent, and Josh kept the team talking on the court and on the bench. Josh Wedeven and Keynan Carter were the high scorers for the Archers, and Joshua was also the top rebounder on the defensive side of the ball, while the Archers had a total of 40 rebounds for the game. At half-time, the Archers were trailing East-West University 34-57. The Archers slowed it down during the 2nd half to focus on their shots and passes, but their momentum and aggression stayed high throughout the whole game. They fought hard coming back with five minutes left in the 2nd half, bringing it to Archer 83- Phantoms 89 with a minute to go. While the Archers fought hard up to the end, the Phantoms defeated the Archers 95-88.
Kent Hinrichsen shared his testimony during half-time, sharing the parable of the lost coin (Luke 15:8-10). His testimony, along with Kristian Stults' testimony from their last home game, will be posted under the Basketball News tab for those who wish to watch it.
This Saturday the Archers will be at home as they play against Maranatha Baptist at 3 pm.
